There is a full page review that I wrote in the current issue of BIKE magazine. For the first 3 moths of the season I was testing a 2008 Santa Cruz Bullit, and the review has just been published in the September/October issue of BIKE.
The review is also currently published online on www.bikemag.com
Have been away 20 + days in the last month or so. lots of new photos to post to the site, but for now here is a pic of Greg Watts in the middle of a 270 from the Crankworxs slope-style last Sat. More pics to come ....
a couple polaroids from a ride at the Woodlot last week. It ended up being the last ride I had on the Santa Cruz Bullit before I had to send it back. That bike was RAD. I rode it really fast that day. It is resting in the background of the second pic.
On Wed June 4 the Work/Life exhibition opens at the UPPERCASE Gallery in Calgary. UPPERCASE is located on the upper level of Art Central, at the corner of 7th Avenue SW and Centre Street.
I have a piece in the show and a 2 page spread in the book available through UPPERCASE
I have an opening this weekend at the Plank Gallery, at 165 East Hastings in Vancouver. It will feature work from the 2008 ECIAD photography graduates. The show is called Developing Tank. There is no visual for this event, so instead I will post a photo of my Dog Ruby standing on my light table. Its RAD.
Work Life is a book project celebrating Canadian illustration and photography. I will have a two page spread in the book with photos of recent work, studio shots, and an interview about my creative focus, and artistic technique. There will be an exhibition at the Uppercase Gallery in Calgary that runs through the months of June and July coinciding with the book release. The book will be available online through the Uppercase Gallery starting in June.
This is my work in the Emily Carr grad catalogue. Its also one of the images that will be in the show. In show it will be printed 44 x 44 inches along with one other image.
If your in the LA area on the 19th check it out. The deck I painted for the show is posted below. It should be a great event, and all proceeds from the auction go to the Stoked Mentoring Program.
This is the skate deck I painted for the "Stoked Sessions LA" art show and fundraiser taking place on April 19 at The Grind Art Gallery in Los Angeles These are a few of the stencils used in the piece.
I didn't put a paint section on the new site. Here are a few selections of some work I have done in the past. 48"x48", Spray Paint on Canvas. 48"x52", Spray Paint on Canvas. 30"x34", Spray Paint on Canvas. Shoes painted for the K Swiss Phase II Tour.
I watched the Ron Levine documentary "Prisoners of Age" the other day. Its the first time I had ever watched it, or heard about the project. It was really interesting to hear the stories behind some of his amazing portraits. Defiantly worth checking out.
This picture is from the latest "WOO" mag. The photo is from the "This is Green" group show that I was in last month. My photo is hanging on the left. The tank in the foreground looked amazing in the gallery.
